The History of Art and Architecture Department is pleased to announce the winners of the 2018 Friends of Frick Fine Arts Writing Awards:

For Critical / Analytical Writing: Darien Pepple, "Constructing Culture: Representing Africa and Egypt at the Carnegie Museum of Art," written under the direction of Erin Peters

For a Research Paper produced for an HAA course: David Nascari, "Mathematical Meaning and Beauty in Nature and Pollock's Fractals" written under the direction of Carrie Weaver

For Independent Research: Caroline Fazzini, "Bookworks as Networks: Feminist Artists' Book Projects of the 1980-90s" written under the direction of Jennifer Josten
